Woodville it all depends on who you ask. I would say the number 1 issues anybody has with cuttings myself included is moisture control. To damp and they rot before rooting. There's alot of good post about propagation a few years ago a search would uncover. Alot of other members at that time were all trying new methods, and setting up there own thread with their experience. Alot of information. Haven't seen to many of the old dogs on though.

Sadly I have found that many methods that others say are their goto for that single cutting to ensure success don't work from me. I have a small collection of 23 trees that are all in ground. Baggie method has never worked for me, but has been a fail safe for alot of other's. I have seen a member do hundreds of single node cutting with great results. I myself have tried this a few times and I get about 20% sadly.

My preferred method is score cutting and rooting right in a pot with a small% organic matter and mainly perlite vermiculite base. Now I will treat the score cuttings with various rooting hormones, depending on what I have. Never use powder root agent. That's just me. I will try and pull some stuff up.

Moral of the story , you gotta find what works for you. Understand the mechanics of what your trying to accomplish and create the ideal environment. Under heat works. The top of the fridge is warm enough to get in that optimal rooting temp thus speeding the process. But moisture control is number 1, trying to hard or neglect being number2

I am having a hard time reading your handwriting on 2 of the plastic bags, you only put one letter on them.  This is what is clear; MVSB, DK, RDB, VB  then one appears to be the letter N, I assume nero 600 m?, the last I can't tell what it is almost looks like a v or a checkmark?  Could this be a c?

I can't upload a photo I took of the marking since it says storage is full.  I would have to guess the last could be the celeste?  If so is this celeste or improved Celeste.   Thanks

hi Dave   received cutting  already in pots it was hard to tell tops from bottoms on some cutting I guest the slant cut is the top. but some have square cuts both ends hope I don't get upside down fig trees  thanks roger

Yeah it's a c I said I was only doing 10 but exceeded that as I always do. Blacksmithing for this benefit the 13th has my busy. But the pieces I am making are beautiful and using many traditional methods. Look at that got side tracked. I kind of got sloppy with all the bags.sorry.

I haven't received my cuttings, either. I've sent two PMs as well requesting tracking info as well without reply. I wish I could figure out what is happening with the cuttings. I don't mind if there was a mistake or something, but I'd like some sort of response. I hope I get one soon.
