woohoo! Persian White cuttings came in yesterday!

i'm a happy dog :) yupe Persian White cuttings came in from very generous forum member yesterday. the cuttings are good size and very healthy. i'll be processing them today and start rooting.

they will go on the south side window once moved to the cups and will be misted daily since my house is rather dry.. as in i have killed large number of ivies in my house.

i have been looking at Persian White since i first saw the picture of it on Bass' web site. they sure look wonderful.

i can't wait til i taste this fine fig.

Congrats.

So much fun to get cuttings you want from members!  I go through my cuttings every 3 days or so, and yesterday found 4 with roots and green shoots, so they are now in the double plastic cup treatment mode.

Good luck with your Persian White cuttings!

Hi  Pete,
I know the feeling.  It is like Christmas.  Daughters think I'm crazy when I'm getting excited about a few "dead" sticks that come in the mail.  It is fun!

I told my cooworker how I am getting figs and he mentioned our boss always brought them delicious figs...I begged for cuttings and got a bucket full of all sizes of branches - unknown figs....so I asked him what kind of fig- it is Adriatic and supposedely very good. No way I will have room for them all. I am trying to root bigger branches, short branches, 8-10 inches etc...but soon they need their cups, I will not have room for them. So, if anyone is interested in this amazing fig, let me know.  I would love trading for another special fig. (Longue d'Aout would be awesome)

Pete I know where you live.

Grasa, I wish I had Longue d'Aout to give you. Been looking everywhere for it. Only place I can find it is in Canada and Adriano does not
ship outside of Canada.

i'm getting old rafed. can't think of any good come back.. lol. just passed my 45th b-day about a week ago and i feel my brain cells dying in large numbers. x)

Pete,

Sometimes, I need to  post something on the forum just to "remember" what I have on my wish list.

james,

that's why i only keep 2-3 on my wish list. if i list too many, i'll forget what i wanted.

Same here... Christmas in the fall. Just love it. (Thanks again to the generous people here.)

I'm enjoying this so much, I'd hate to think I'd ever have all the varieties I want.

There are a few more I've decided I want too. You all are a bad influence. Guess I'll repopulate my wish list.

Figs... who knew?
