Worried for a bit

A big storm came through last Thursday... lots of rain and a low in the upper 30's.  The next day, just before leaving town for the weekend, nearly all of my 20 trees in 2gal pots were severely wilted.  Many of them (mostly Peter's Honey) had been in the pots for over a month and never had a wilt issue before.

I expected to get back home on Sunday and find them all dead.  Instead, every one of them were nice and perky.

Whew!

That's good news, James.  I'd like to think the stress makes them stronger in the end.  Hopefully we're close to being done with cold temps.  I know I sure am.

Because of GLOBAL WARMING  it snowed here this amha ha  ....very unusual this time of year .

My little potted figs are looking out the window.

My wife had me move all of my 1 gallon pots outside yesterday to clear out the 1/2 bath where they had been waiting for warmer weather to go back outside.  Our overnights were in the 40's - hopefully I haven't killed the children.

Andrew

Maybe time to get fig insurance policy.  Lose a fig, fig insurance will cover it by sending you a new tree.

Figfinnatic:  (Dialing....)

All State Rep:  Thank you for calling All State Homeowners Insurance Group.  How can I help you?

Figfinatic: uh.. yeah.. Do you cover fig trees?
