Heavy rains here in Houston on Friday.  Heard some people at work say we were supposed to get 3-4 inches of rain.  Even figs that hadn't split previously did......Carini, Connie's Dark, Sunfire, Macool, Enola 3, Haikel Labanese.  White Ischia was slightly split.  Too bad since this one Macool fig was going to be my first Macool to taste, maybe next year.  The other figs listed were going to be the last of those for the year too.  As evidenced by the graphic photo below, Carini was the worst by far.

Mine have been splitting with the rain too.  But my Carini is strawberry red inside.  I'd like to know if flesh color varies with different climates.  Can anybody attest?  Hope the rain ends for you Steve.

OMG It looks like a proper flower now. Sorry that happened, that was quite a rain and I'm still waiting for my back yard to dry out.

My Condolences, that would make my vein on my forehead to bulge out.....I hear your pain,  I know sometimes you wait all year and something unexpected happens.  We need to make Fig Tree Umbrellas...LOL
