I think the first picture is cool. Turn it sideways, and you'd have a nice, warm, winter figgy cap for your head.

Perfect for those of you who must do the fig shuffle come frost. ;)

Nice to know this happens to everyone because when it happens for the first time on one of your figs, it can freak you out!!

I think it's kinda cute. Tried so hard to bloom and be a pretty flower.

It was one of the numbered figs at USDA/UC Davis. There was no edible flesh to the fig at all, just some skin and an eye.
