I have full orchard of those 2 types....I Wish...LOL      I am only willing to go up to $29.95 and that's my final bid on any cuttings....LOL

$110 is much more reasonable then what it went for some time ago.

totally agree. it's absurd to pay that much for a fig tree. last time i bought trees, they were $10 a tree... 

If I was a single man with no kids, or just flat out loaded I would pay that for a tree, not sure about cuttings. I've just lost too many to gamble that much cash on something that might not make it. I think a lot of people justify it but hoping at least a couple cuttings make it and they can turn around and sell a tree on eBay and make the money back and come out even with a free tree to boot.

Is this like the Gold Standard for Figs. Found a little on them on this site and a Google search. If any one can get that kind of money on a few cuttings why would they not want to sell more. Seems like easy money to me. Thankfully it seems they are not right for my zone (Missouri). I'm not looking to spend that kind of money. I just want a few trees growing. But I can see how this hobby could be addictive. I do so love a fresh fig. I'm from the Mississippi Delta. There I only run across a few people that had fig trees. I've been told you can't grow figs in Missouri. I failed at my first attempt. But I feel with the help of this site my next try will grow. Guy teaching in Church last fall about Adam and Eve said he had never even seen a Fig Leaf. He was about two weeks to late into Fall for me to show him one of mine. I plan to show him one later this year. 

I will wait until next year. It will be more plentiful and cheaper. In the meantime I will have to survive only 64 other varieties

How many folks blow much more than that a month on tobacco?  To each their own.  I've found various excuses to justify paying those absurd prices many times.

you don't buy Jolly Tiger for the figs. this is one of two trees that has very striking leaves. Jolly Tiger has that tiger striped leaves, and Ice Crystal for the very lacy leaves. it's what people buy when they have all the other figs to eat x) 

I bought Syrian Honey for the fancy leaves.  Here is the photo Bass used in his auction to entice me.  It is supposed to have nice fruit as well.  I have not yet decided to "bite" and buy Jolly Tiger or Ice Crystal.

 

LdA has nice leaves also.. and good fig. but i think most fig leaves are nice to look at.
