Aliok 1,

Very nice Brebas!
They look to be delicious.
From what you describe it is a San Pedro type. I wonder how the second 'product' tastes..
We have a dark San Pedro as well- Its second crop dries very well and is very sweet.

Those are some very impressive figs . . . I'm jealous !!!

Hope you enjoyed them.  They sure look good.  Francisco, what's the name of your dark San Pedro?

Rcantor, Aliok ..

Our dark San Pedro is Lampeira Preta, our most known breba !! Also known as ..'figo de São João' as it ripens by around St.Johns's day -- NOW! , the first brebas showed up around 20/25 days ago..

Will try to attach pictures of Lampeira preta, from a slightly irrigated tree (drop system)...the fruit has green and brownish shades and is quite large ... some well in excess of 200 gr

and,  same cultivar with absolutely no irrigation at all,,, this fruit is of a marked reddish brown skin color, very sweet and with full pulps.

Also see pictures of the Lampeira Preta Main crop  - (wasp pollinated) pics 00390 and 00391
This a very sweet and flavored fruit. One of our best dry figs. (roasted!)

Another Breba , 'PRINCESOS', a white, delicate skin fruit, also very sweet. pics 00253,  00255 . Te main crop of this breba do not require pollination

More yediveren figs photos.

Aliok1,

Thank you for showing your nice figs.
I was aware of this Yediveren fig from quite some time ago as one of the best brebas of Turkey.
Now, seeing your pictures I agree that it must be a very delicious fruit with plenty to eat !

As the Season commences now, let' keep showing pictures of figs as they become ripe .. and tell their local names.

Cheers
Francisco

Several years ago bought in Turkey Bardacik, Göklop, Mini Nut, Patlican, Sari Zeybek and Yediveren.
For five years, powerful plants grew, with thick branches and large leaves - but did not see a single fruit breba!
The wasp-blastophagus is not found in us, so there is no second crop either ...
Only, this last autumn on Sari Zeibek ripe one large fruit, very good quality. Surprisingly, this is a pleasant surprise.
When I acquire male figs and populate the blastophagus - then, probably, I will be able to appreciate these Turkish varieties.
