Yellow and Droopy leaves

Hello all, I'm new to this site. Up here in Ct we've been getting hammered with rain for the last couple weeks. My trees were fine up until this last week. I brought them in from the weather, but I'm afraid the damage is already done. One's leaves are turning yellow and the other's leaves are curling and drooping. What can I do to rectify this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx Rob

What kind of soil do you have them in?  If it's holding lots of water and suffocating the roots you might have to repot them to save them.  If it drains well and has air spaces just don't over water and hopefully they'll bounce back.  Photos of the soil and plant will help.

I transplanted both of them about a month and a half ago into planters a bit bigger than one gallon pails. I supplemented the soil with miracle grow potting mix. Come to think of it now, there are only two small drainage holes on the bottom of the planters. Should I make a few more holes?

Make more holes.
Lots of them
on sides around the bottom edge at least 6 big ones.
and all around the sides up to about an inch below soil line, lots and lots of little ones.

your plant should have bounced back from up potting. there are few issues i see. one, like you said, lack of holes might keeping the soil wet. two, if you added more soil, and if it's not the same soil you used before, the mix of two soil type when not well integrated can cause zone where it will hold more water. last, if it's been watering for weeks and your soil mix doesn't drain well/retain water for long time that's another issue.

i would, as suggested, drill hols first. then i would add a wick just in case so the water will drain faster and quicker without standing water in the bottom. i wouldn't stress the tree by bare rooting it right now unless you are very sure that the soil is just not suitable for the figs in container.

when i bare root the 1 yr old trees, it takes few weeks for them to bounce back. during the time, they look very droopy and some leaves might fall off.

Thanx so much everyone for such quick responses. It is much appreciated!!!!
