Yellow Armenian?

Does anyone have personal knowledge of UCD Yellow Armenian?
Growth rate? Ripening problems? Taste?
In my haste to beat UCD deadline (which I missed by 2 weeks but still received my request including B MAD), I asked for Yellow Armenian knowing nothing about it.
The cuttings took and the plant is thriving - 2 branches about 18" tall

Rich,

I have the Armenian but don't know if the two are the same.
I've had mine from about four years now. Was growing a little funny last year so I chopped it up in the Fall so it can come back a little better.
It grew a sucker and it is now roughly two feet long with figs ( for the first time ever ). The chopped part isn't really doing anything and I might chop it off completely. Strange?

I will try to post pictures of the ripe fruit later in the season and hopefully we can compare with yours.
But looking at the pictures in the f4f database it does appear to be tasty.

Good luck

Gentlemen,
I would like to be included in this comparison. I won an Armenian at the Northeast Fig Meeting at Bass' earlier this month, and I'm also curious. Its a healthy looking plant 2 1/2 feet tall single trunk. It already has a pea sized fig.

Healthy looking plant Pete.
I'll post mine later after I chop off the older stem.

Here' you go Pete,
And Rich, this may be a bit too early but can you try to compare the leaves?

Sure Rafed. I'll try to get pics tamara or in a few.

Thanks Rafed. So far they look similiar. As a note: the larger of the figs on my tree seem to be assuming a flattened shape similar to LSU Gold as it grows.

I see that Pete,
The leaves do look the same but I'm interest in seeing Rich's plant. Curious to see if they are the same or two different strains?

As for the fruit its' self. We need another couple weeks to let mine grow and develop the flat shape at the bottom.

As a side note;
I was thinking about getting rid of this plant just a week ago. But when I noticed how good and quick the sucker is growing and finally producing I decided to keep it.

Here is my Armenian fig tree so far this year and I did a video last year on the same tree.
