On my fig tree there are some leaves that have turned yellow and have brown spots on them. They eventually fall off. I have not fertilized because I read that you don't have to. I planted them in February 2016 here in Orlando, Fl.

Hi Cynthia, post some pic of you tree leaves. Is your tree in a pot OT in ground ? It could be heat stress.....not enough water reaching the root system. Pics will help.

A lot of my inground trees leaves are yellowing mostly the recenty planted ones.I think it is the heat wave and drought.I can not keep up with the water requirements.Pray for rain.

Most likely needs water- at least 1 gal, once in the early morning and once in the late afternoon, depends on how much sun it has and the temperature. More sun/heat = more water. I am in Fl and my plants are in containers and in the shade and I water them a gallon each. Sometimes twice daily. It needs bare minimum fertilizer/compost manure once it is establish in 2-3 years, but in the beginning it needs nutrients to grow and establish itself.
