Good evening,

I need some help to ID the fig in the attached photos. The specs:

The ripe fig is almost yellow, with reg inside. The skin is not thin, kind of tough, the eye is closed. The taste is superb as for me. High acidity, almost feel a hint of lemon. Not super sweet, just sweet enough to enjoy more than a few (not like the Black Mission, I can eat 3 at most of those). The fig size is quite large, the ones you see are the average on the tree.
The tree was planted, not wild, in California. This is the main crop, it had brebas too but I didn't see enough since when I got there, they were all eaten by the birds.

The laves are not glossy, the shape of almost all of them look like in the photo. The figs on the branch are not ripe yet so they look green.

I have a fig very similar to yours,fruit and leaf,it is called:
Sicilian White.
I got it from MarkAntonio,on the Gardenweb fig forum,from Long Island NY.

This tree is about 20 years old but it still might be a relative of your Sicilian White.  
Do you have the ready-to-eat figs now? I am just curious wrt timing.

Before I labelled my unknown, I decided to search for your suggested variety "Sicilian White". 
I found your old post at

Unfortunately, I think what I have is NOT the SW. The leaves are quite different and the fruit shape is not the same. Mine is more on the flat side, while the laves are mush smoother around. The only common feature is a great taste, which is nice! 

So, I am am bumping the post. Any other ideas? 

Good looking fig and nice photos. Does it require caprification or not?

It is a common fig 100%, no caprification is required.
I think if the name hunt is not successful, I am going to name it "Maltese Princess" and sell for big bucks on eBay :D !
