While out on a walk in the forest today I gathered up some free fertilizer. Porcupine poop. Three bags full! The fig trees will get fed some of this stuff. It should work out okay if it doesn't attract any porcupines to my trees. lol.
The already composted poop is in the shopping bags posted in the pictures below. I found piles of it outside their den in the rocks.
The stuff in the blue container is composted pine needles and the rest is pine straw.
The pine straw I will use for mulch and the composted needles is my potting soil along with some perlite and a bit of wood ash. I used this stuff last year and it worked fine although I used pine bark then instead of perlite.
There is more poop out at the den so I will have to get more later on.
