Yesterdays Rain

We have been getting good rainfall lately good for my fig plants.
Yesterday i was out pulling weeds in veggie garden when it got very windy and skies turned dark then the towns sirens went off.
The wind was pretty fierce and broke 1 of 2  main branches off 1 of my elm tree's which laid to rest on my chainlink fence so i removed.
Then went to my pation and noticed my Kalamata fig plants stake had broke near soil base and the plant was laid almost sideways on rim of pot (ouch).
I then brought all the small plants in garage as the rain came down rather hard. I restaked the Kalamata plant and now hope for the best as i know some roots broke just under soil.
In Chicago the Willis tower ( Sears Tower renamed) was reported to have window broke along with about 1/4 million folks without power.
If it ain't the pain in the donkey's rear end winters its the windy conditons here to deal with oh well there are much worse things in life to deal with.

Hi Martin,

I hope your Kalamata fig tree will be all right.  You'll have to keep us posted on its progress.
