Zerganator666 = mifig4fun on Ebay

I thought everyone may find this of interest, particularly Jon, seeing as how the names are so similar.

EDIT: LINK REMOVED. The link I provided in this post no longer works, but if you scroll down to Post #11 in this thread, you'll find the information I was trying to provide.

Dan

Good eye Dan.  Glad you posted.  This guy needs to be kept on a short leash.  Unless he's changed his username here it's Zergy (in case anyone didn't know).

So he changed his ebay ID from zerganator666 to mifig4fun.  Whatcha wanna bet he did so because of all the heat that was brought down on him for cheating people out of cuttings?  No doubt he will be belly-crawling back here or at FF under yet another new username and trying to worm his way back into some unsuspecting member's trust.

That's crazy, I wonder if he ends up shipping the tree after collecting the large amount of money.
I also noticed this from another seller. I couldn't stop but laugh, check out what they named this tree. Ficus carica VIOLETTE DE DURPEUX FIG Fruit Tree 5galUS $60.00

He has pretty good feed back at eBay, so I think that he would ship you a tree if you were the winning bidder, HOWEVER, is it the variety that he claims it is? You may get the tree in a timely fashion, leave positive feed back, only to discover months later that it's a common variety that you already have. Unlike these forums, if you screw around on eBay too much you can loose your privileges. EBay is somewhat transparent, in that you can follow name changes of sellers/buyers.

What really troubles me is that he is scamming people on cutting trades, most likely propagating  those cuttings he stole from them and selling those plants on eBay. If you buy from him, you have become an enabler, knowing or unknowingly.

Zergas/Figster2007 is not just a petty thief that steals cuttings from unsuspecting people,he also steals their trust and faith in other people.
I don't know about you, but I didn't come here for that kind of crap.

It also pisses me off that he's from SE Michigan and when I do have enough cuttings that I can do a little trading, I may fall under suspicion because I'm from the same area as him. He's not doing Michigan or me any favors.

I'm tired of talking about this guy.
Happy New Year, may all your trades surpass your expectations and all your cuttings grow and prosper.

Yeah Bass...I saw those on ebay.  5 gal. plants for $60.  It almost (maybe giving someone more than the benefit of the doubt) looks like a seller who maybe was computer illiterate had someone else list the figs and in the process buggered up the names horribly.  You can almost make out some familiar names from the gross mispellings :)

The 5 gallon trees are from someplace about 40 miles north of me. Have to visit some day, and see this shoddy operation. After seeing the butchered names, and lack of correct pix, I wouldn't touch them.

If this Zergotron keep on changing his login IDs, is he changing his shipping addresses as well? He can't use post boxes for receiving shipments so he should be running out postal addresses. His receiving addresses should provide some idea where he is breathing.... ( because you can't call that living!).

someone on GW posted his name, forum names and address if I recall correctly (I only saw the post once before it had been removed).

Dan_J, I'm with you.  I don't like the idea of someone making us S-E Michigan people look bad.  If I recall correctly his address was in Beverly Hills, Michigan.....I wouldn't mind visiting him one day and telling him off (though I have not been scammed by him personally, enough of my fig-friends have been)

I noticed horribly mispelled fig names on the fellow or gal selling those fig trees on ebay.  I really was a little disappointed at how unprofessional they went about it.  I can understand mispelling a name but so many were mispelled.  I can understand being in a hurry and mispelling, but they need to slow down and get it together.  Also, the pictures were terribly misleading. some of the pictures of the figs i noticed were also same pictures used at spring hill nursery!!  They were used to describe more than one variety!!!  I am glad i am a little more informed about the trees as not to buy from these people.  Also a person trying to sell a native Arkansas fig.  There are no native figs to the U.S.  Ciao.

Ottowan....Zergotron...haha...good one :)

I have no doubt he already has or will shortly have new user ID's both here and at GW.  For that matter, he may have already had multiple ID's for when he was exposed.  I guess people like him think that way?  He probably won't start over at ebay and lose his feedbacks because he's more transparent and unreachable there.
