The first 4-5 fruits did not increase in size, and fell off. The next three ripened normally, and had a very nice flavor. Won't beat Black Madeira, but is probably a 9+. A couple more are swelling right now, so I may get a few more. Brebas did not size up, fell off and were small hollow pods.
Awesome fig. Another very similar winner that I recommend highly is the "Purple Smyrna" Steve Spangler has at Exotica. It and Zidi and practically twins. A truly ripe one is the best fig I've ever tasted. Are your Zidi leaves gigantic in size?
