--- Ziplock bag air layer

Hi all,

Here is my quick MBVB air layer with a ziplock bag. I think it will allow me to water easily when needed, just unzip the top! I had to slice open the opposite side to move the bag down and seal back with some clear tape.
About a week ago I wrapped the air layer spot with the electrical tape (sticky side up) and today, after the tape was removed, I could see the white root starts!
To support the bag from below I used a bent plastic coat hanger piece, from the top I just tied a string to the bag's corner.

Thanks for looking!

Very nice work, thanks for sharing.

Thank you all!

I don't know why but the best picture viewing experience is NOT when you left click with your mouse but RightClick-Open Link In Tab/Window, otherwise the photo ratio is distorted. I believe the website internal picture viewer is sizing the photos to the browser window ignoring the picture proportions.

Very nice Igor, How did you slide bag on to brunch?

Eden,
That is very easy to do! The leaves are soft, you can bend them any way you like, so just curl them a little and push through the gaping hole :)
The cut opening is of the same size as the main blue zip end.
For me the hard part was to do it twice ... I slid the bad, filled with the soil and realized that I forgot to remove the electrical tape from around the stem... %^(^%$

Anybody knows how far into the Californian 'winter' I can keep the bag on?

I don't expect to have more than 1-2 nights of freeze. In the past 5 years only in the last year we had the frost once.

I want to try my hand at air layering. its helpful to see different approaches to it.  thanks for sharing and good job.

Thanks, Eithieus!
I did 2 more yesterday, I'll update the thread as soon as I see some roots.

Is your with list is really a Brown Turkey? Or you are just teasing?...
If you need one, let me know.
