Zucchini fig VS Harvey's Long Yellow - compare and contrast

Anyone growing both?  Comments on taste, earliness, productivity, cold sensitivity, anything else?

I have a Long Yellow from R.Watts, I believe it is the same as the Harvey's. It is very productive, huge figs, but mild taste.
I will take some photos tomorrow.

The one I have is specifically called Yellow Long Neck and it is different than Long Yellow, though I don't know how much so.  Yellow Long Neck was "rescued" from UCR by George Emerich and then passed onto Edgar Valdivia (my source) who also passed it on to Steve Berger (Jon's source, I believe, though he also got it from me), etc.

I see. So lets compare the figs when they are dead ripe. My tree has a lot of them and I should be able to have one for a photoshoot.
But, mine look very similar to yours from the last year we tried at the Fig Fiesta.

Can you post a photo of the leaves? They are very characteristic, very round and large like the dinner plates.

Igor, there have been sufficient discussions of this in the past, IMO.  Long Yellow came from Quail Gardens.  Jon doesn't know where they got it.

I posted a leaf at http://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/show_single_post?pid=1277622961&postcount=39

Harvey, is the taste of yours mild?  Of course the wasp alters the flavor...  Jon lists Long Yellow HC, which is the same thing, I assume.

Harvey, my leaves are very similar, I would say the same. I think those two figs are identical.

Bob, yes, mild in flavor.  I believe what Jon is listing there is from me, using my initials.

Igor, I believe people are trying much too hard to say things are the same.  Aliens might say the same about all of us humanoids.  I've seen photos of both Long Yellow and Yellow Long Neck and sometimes the Long Yellow has a red blush but I've never seen that on my Yellow Long Neck.  I could call George Emerich and ask him if he ever gave a tree or cuttings to Quail Gardens but he is quite old and I haven't seen him for over five years.  He is one of the old-timers of CRFG.

Note: I received mine from Edgar and was told it was Long Neck Yellow.  He later told me it was Yellow Long Neck and didn't recall using the former name.  I discussed it with Steve Berger and he had a nearly identical experience.

Well, I have one or the other. Got it from Jon. It's on probation. Mine is a large, pretty fig. Yellow and .. surprise..  has a long neck. Large leaves, vigorous grower. The flavor is mild but pleasant. Maybe a 7. If there is not more intense flavor this year, which I prefer, it will be given away.
