First fruit of a variety finally out of USDA quarantine.





Obviously it has a splitting problem, so was a little difficult to assess the flavor. But certainy has some potential. And brings a whole new color palette, as well.

That is a colorful fig, like a beautiful sunset. The splitting problem would keep me from trying it, too wet and humid here.

This fig looks similar to the eves black cherry fig on the other post.

It is nice looking fig inside and out. Hopefully someone in colder area of north east will try it and find out if it can ripen here in NE before cold weather sets in.
