The attached leaf photo is from a Fig tree in my neighborhood.  I've watched it over about the past 7 years and it has never produced a single Breba crop Fig, and until this year, never a Main crop Fig!  In late September there were a few small Figs about 1.5 inches long and one of them was starting to get a dark brown stripe coloration on the skin at the apex.  A neighbor told me that the owners picked their first-ever soft Figs this year from the tree.

The photo is cropped to about 17 inches square, so the leaf is almost fit to wear ;)  Those two shiny spots are quarters, and the leaf is of the dominant form on this tree with some leaves larger and many leaves closer to 2/3 this size.

Does anyone know of a Fig variety that meets this sketchy description?  Although it isn't a variety suitable for Fig production here in Seattle, those wearable leaves sure look interesting.

Please check my website to learn more about my Fig Variety Photo Identification Project:   http://sites.google.com/site/kiwifruitsalad2

From the descriptions or clues you gave "Wrap yourself in this one" and "almost fit to wear", my guess is that it may be the type that Adam & Eve used for their first dress on earth.

Jon has the most fig pictures im sure you know by now, if you take the time to go thru them for your ID you might find something similar.
As for me i do not have a leaf on plants similar, that leaf looks pale in color.

I have leaves very close to that size on more than one plant, but they are atypical for their varieties, which are usually smaller.
