I'm not quite sure how to fill out this form.  What info goes in the Genus, Species and Cultivar blanks?  At least the Accession # is easy to figure out.  Do I have the rest of it right?

This being my first time, should I order dormant cuttings or scionwood?  What is the difference? (Feeling pretty ignorant here but we all have to start somewhere!)

Ditto!  It's really hard to understand that form the first time.  I name my form and save to my computer with the year on it, so I can check back and see what I ordered.

They usually send 5 cuttings of each varietal you order, but not always.  The grape I really wanted they only sent one, and the fungus gnats got to it.  I've already reordered it.

Remember it's first come, first served with them, so get your order in.  AND if you have second thoughts, you can add to your order on another form.  I did that last year and they sent every single thing!!

Good luck!

Here's a little tip.  If you plant your cuttings outside, DO NOT use the UC Davis ID tag for identification.  It will fade, and the printing will disappear, and when your cuttings start growing, they will all be mysteries to you!

This happened to me, and I learned to cut aluminum strips out of pop or beer cans, emboss the variety and date with a pen on the strip, punch a hole with a hole punch, and label them that way.  Nothing can destroy that embossed ID!!

Meanwhile I have quite a few mystery plants, but since I know what I ordered, the fruit will give them away eventually.

It will be like Christmas in March or April when you receive your cuttings!

Has anyone had luck with DHL account numbers when order from UC Davis?  I'm having a hard time and want to send my order in.

Use UPS, if shipping ground, FedEx if overnight. Don't reinvent the wheel.

The problem is I'm in Canada.  They are giving me the run around saying they can't give me an account number but another lady says they can.  The only way they say they can do it is when the shipment is being sent that UC Davis contact them then they bill my credit card but no account number.  When I call customer service I just get a run around.
