My brother spotted this at a local store. Good price, any experience with their plants? bTW, it's about a foot tall or so

I think its a crap shoot on what it is. That picture is an artists rendering. If it is Chicago Hardy, you should have one of these in your collection. Awesome plant!

The ones I saw at our local TSC were dried up.

This is the nursery description at the link. I bought a Loganberry and Hazelnut at TSC a couple weeks ago. They had some of the HC on the shelf too.I might have bought one just to see if it was true to variety if they weren't twigs without leaves.http://www.degroot-inc.com/product_info.php?cPath=25_92&products_id=950&osCsid=5edf9b7feebb814bc8f3fdd36042b8f9

I saw them too about a month ago...little white bag in a box with what I presume was a rooted cutting chopped down...
Any one know if they really have a root ball? Second their site is full of misinformation. "Recently developed hybrid" ...if you're lucky it's a Sal's fig or a real HC...
If anyone takes the plunge, Keep your receipt and know the return policy.
