I came across and an old bag of cuttings yesterday. With the cold weather, I used them as kindling last night. When they got hot they started popping and snapping. Kept doing it for some time and made the fire very nice. I don't know if it was the latex? Will recycle the ashes into the garden so not all is lost.

Last week I used some dry, thick fig woods as kindlings. They smelled very nice. Though about using some for BBQ in future.

Ooh, VDB might raise some hackles in these parts. BT seems to be universally maligned.

Love the smell of fig wood and the crackling noise the branches with leaves make and at night
the glow from all the drilled holes in drum looks nice.

I bet that looks nice. My struggling Islanders had a party with your Stanley Cup champs the other day!

Sburdo yes they did i watch all the games  - my favorite sport is Hockey.
But hugging the cellar your New York Islanders  won't make the dance - playoffs.

I have many hockey cards from the 60s and 70s.

The Golden Jet (Bobby Hull)  i have a replica Jersey #9 who had some great fights as well back in the day.

Yeah they won , Rafed had high hopes about the Red Wings in the playoffs but Chicago showed them!

I grew up on the island when we won all the cups. Great time to be a kid playing hockey. Several decades of poor hockey and a move to Brooklyn may be the end for me. We only play and watch hockey and lacrosse in this family!
