This year, all of my Hachiya Persimmons have little dark lumps in the flesh up under the calex. I thought at first that they might be partially-developed seeds, but the distribution seems very uneven and if I recall correctly, persimmon seeds are few, and evenly arranged. Fortunately, they haven't affected the flavor or quality of the rest of the fruit. Does anybody know what they are/what causes them? Thanks.
