I'm still waiting on my cuttings from UCDavis but in the mean time I have three Ischia Black cuttings that I got from Encanto Farms.  I don't know if its the weather but I seem to remember last years cuttings took a lot longer to show roots.  They have been in the shoe box for three weeks now and one cutting is showing a root.  Here are videos I made of the cuttings.  Has anyone received UCDavis cuttings yet?

Didn't you have a homemade cloning machine that you put together? I don't remember much more than that. How did you do trying to root fig cuttings with it?

Not sure what this is in reference to?  Would be nice though to have a  Ron Popeil fig clone machine.  Just set it and forget it.  I'd probably clone myself first because I could use some help but the second me would probably drink all my beer without asking me.

I transferred my fig cuttings to a soil and perlite mix instead of the usual perlite and vermiculite and I'm also trying a new method with an inner area of all perlite around the cutting itself. New Video

Here is another video of some progress on the cuttings with one cutting having visible roots in the cup.  Ischia Black progress

tmc--Have you contacted Popeil to see if they take requests for things like a cloning machine?  That's pretty catchy--Just set it and forget it, as they say.  You have a great sense of humor about cloning yourself.

One of the cuttings is really taking off and the one with the ring of perlite shows roots to the side of the cup also.

Two of the cuttings are making progress.  The stronger end cutting and the one that I'm trying the center ring of perlite on.  One cuttings is stuck showing no progress.
