Thanks for posting your nice little tree and fruit Joe. I am sure it will grow to a good size in the upcoming years. May I ask...you mentioned those nermatodes. We don't know that in our colder climate over here. Do they eat the roots? __________________ Hi from Germany! (Zone 7b) Christian

Root Knot Nematode - RKN, tiny wormlike creatures that infest the root system, cutting off the flow of nutrients to the tree. Prevalent only in sandy soils, especially SE coast of the US. Thanks for the comments. Christian I was referring to root knot nematodes, as Phil pointed out. They damage the roots and make it harder for the tree to take up water and nutrients.
