Very nice! Grab a couple of ripe figs. Sit a spell on the swing. Life is good over there Martin.

Martin...

Beautiful tree...in fact, all your trees look great.

Now,...how old is the tree, and how long have you had it containerized?
Has it ever been grown in-ground?
Will you root-prune an pot up...or, root-prune and plant in same size pot?

Just asking.  Thanks,

Frank

martin,

that looks much bigger than 15 gal. must be they magical way you grow your trees. my VdB is in 10 gal tub and it has 70 or so figs on it. i should bump it up to bigger tub. yesterday with freak storm, i lost about 5 figs. the wind knocked it down along with all the trees.

Bronx i bought tree in 2010 and was probably 1 season old as it came from California's Monrovia's growing field and i always had in container .

Only 1 inground is my elder hardy chicago that went in this spring.
I will check its roots come late winter , it will stay in same pot for time being.
Thanks for nice comment.

Bullet , yeah no its a 15 my larger sizes are some 25 and some 30 gallon ones.

This one is in a lighter mix and was leaning against my water fountain early yesterday morning as we had a quick storm roll thru here with
very high winds clocked at 65 mph in my area.
I ran out there and put it up against garage wall and eventually took the picture.

Martin...

Thanks for the updated information.

Another quick question re: your recently planted, in-ground, "Hardy Chicago"... do you notice any big differences in the growth rate since the tree was planted in ground, in contrast to when it was growing in the  container?

Hope you update that "HC" thread when the time comes.

Thanks friend, for the answers.
