no picture.. i have two that's ripening nicely. so far i had 3 breba off the tree. one turned black very quick and dried up hard and i didn't eat it. it was not ripened. second one was great, but not fully ripened and it wasn't great, but i can taste the potential. this one was my fault for not waiting for it long enough. 3rd one was dud. it was amber color inside and it was just.. blah. not sure why the inconsistency in the breba. i keep comparing this tree to VdB because VdB is very consistent and i can count on the quality. so far KB has been below average as far as the quality of fig has been concerned. yesterday i noticed the main crop turning color. maybe the breba isn't worth much on KB. any ideas?

Every Breba I had was top notch in taste, but it is possible it is because I have the tree in ground, and so it feeds as it needs, from the soil. Of course Breba crop is not the base crop on common fig trees, the main crop is the crop we grow them for. Some common figs drop breba crop totally and that is nothing wrong, others keep only a few,and drop some. The only problem with a common fig type is when it drops main crop.

I'm always concerned a critter will beat me to a fig and so have also harvested a bit early. I think you will be very pleased with the taste of the main crop of KB. It is one of the 2 best tasting figs I've had.

Jh Adriatic. I have many of the so called premium figs, but they are still young so I don't have the experienced fig palate of some like Jon, George or Herman, but for what it's worth KB and JH Adriatic are head and shoulders above the others that I have tasted including VDB. The Jh Adriatic was at Hermans, my tree is still very young.
