I had a friend come over here today while i was doing some propagation. wanting to see what i actully do he decided to watch and ask questions. was all excited about the repoting of the citrus trees inside. though that the outdoor grafting was neat. started putting the clone machine together (areoponics, easy to make your own). i took a break a min got a 7&7, had a smoke, then moved on to fig cuttings. i usualy root mine in a 9 inch deep pot with a seed starting mic and perlite 50/50. he sees me push these cuttings in the pots and he looks at me in puzzlment. he said "dave, i can understand why your growing oranges and lemons. i love me some lemons. you even got banans. but why in the hell are you trying to grow sticks? its not like thier big sticks eather, atleast you could use big sticks for fire wood. what are you going to do with 25 little stick trees?" at a loss for words i got another 7&7. then explained.

Isn't nature amazing? It still blows my mind how a stick can become gold (to us).
