In the middle of another dream I walked up to this house where people were getting free samples.  Turns out they were figs!  The other people gave me a map showing the houses giving out the figs.  One was Bass' house - it was labeled.  At the next house someone had a styrofoam board and on it were labeled ripe figs and small plants.  If you went to Sycamore nursery you got the board with all the spaces full and the map.  By going around you could buy more plants of various sizes and sample more figs.  Nice dream, huh?   :)

If it was only a dream and didn't really happen, isn't that a living nightmare? Maybe like licking a picture of a fig on you computer screen?

Hi Bob,

Last night was my turn.  I had a dream that I was walking around a house looking at my fig trees.  I say "a" house because it was supposed to be the one I am in now, but it wasn't.  Also, the trees were growing in the yard around the house instead of a field.  Anyway, the trees were huge and had fruit on them despite there being a couple of inches of snow and ice (up to a couple of feet thick) on the ground. The figs were odd shaped and were fully open on the bottom. Also, there were apple trees on the property.  I got excited because I thought they were my grandfather's apple trees (I don't remember my grandfather growing apples) one of the trees was over 100' tall and had apples on the canopy.  Another tree had a limb growing out of the side of the house.  It was full of large apples which were an odd red color with pinkish hues.  I went back inside and there were people talking about an extended family get together.  Someone mentioned my grandfather (who died30years ago) was coming and I got really excited and was wondering if he was going to like the fruit from my trees.  But I wouldn't try any figs because I was worried I wouldn't like them.

That's all I remember of the dream.

I suppose we have nothing better to do than crack jokes.  :P

Usually my dreams are vivid, lit and have multiple angles, like watching a movie.  Also, there are weird elements through out the dream, and people/places often get transposed.  I've long since given up on trying to figure out what they mean.

Trying to have a little fun around the holidays with this one!  Is anyone here a movie buff??????  Did anyone see the movie Inception?????

If so hopefully you got my last comment.  The movie Inception is all about dreams and being in other people's dreams and changing theirs and your dream.  The movie ended leaving you questioning if the movie was a dream or reality.  ARGH!!!!!  Come on guys and gals!!!!!!

Sorry but I am a movie buff.  I get discount movie tickets and I see a lot of movies.  I've seen Inception at least 6 times and yes I own the DVD.  It's one of my best movies of all times.

Merry CHRISTmas!!

Dennis,

No apologies needed. I got the reference. It's just that I didn't have a witty comeback for it.

I didn't see the movie, Dennis, but you made it pretty clear it was a movie reference.  Which should I have done?

I just had a dream...

I was out in my villa overlooking Pons orchard and a 21 year old Redheaded French model who didn't speak a lick of English, was feeding me figs.

Oh, and a maid. :)

Last night I dreamed that I knew Lucille Ball, and she was so kind and friendly, and I asked how she got those curls in her red hair, and she kindly explained she uses cardboard rollers.  This is the true dream, and I'm sticking with it!

Man!  I love Lucy!  Just didn't know how kind she was.  I wonder if the toilet paper tubes would work as cardboard rollers.  I may just try!  :-))  Dreams can be crazy!!

I hope I see her in heaven when I get there!  I do LOVE LUCY!

I have pretty interesting dreams and often remember them in the morning.  But, even if I tell my wife about the, I forget about them and can't recall any recent dreams right now.  Maybe that's just old age...

This inception movie sounds interesting.  I see I can rent it for $1.99 and stream it on Amazon and just might do it.  It has an average rating of 4.0 out of 5 stars with a lot of 5 stars.  My wife never remembers her dreams and maybe I can help her out and even get her dreaming about figs so she'll encourage me to buy more fancy figs. :)

I found Inception to be both clever and well done.  I remember seeing many movies which I thought had a clever premise and then failed to live up to it.  Sliding Doors comes to mind.

At this point, I think a box of red hair coloring would not make such a good Christmas gift... I'm just saying
