I once had a great meyer lemon tree that I had for 5 years. it was a beauty. fresh lemons at the finger tips all year round and the house smelling like citrus all winter. well long story short the wifes cat got into it one winter and she pulled the 4 and a half foot potted plant outside in a winter storm. when I got home from work I seen my prize lemon tree incased in ice. she had killed it. longer story short im divoriced now. not because of the tree but that's not important. I want to get another meyer lemon at fruiting age. so I first wanted to see if any of my fig friends knew anything or could maybe make a deal.

5 years! Hard to replace cheaply... Even with money its not easy to find... Do you want cuttings? They mature way quicker

Hello Dave Nothing better then the smell of lemon blossoms in the dead of winter. I have had great luck with my trees from http://www.fourwindsgrowers.com they are 3 year trees grafted on dwarf root stock. Mine had lemons on it when I got it in the mail. I have a Meyer lemon, Owari satsuma mandarin, key lime, and oro blanco grapefruit. Would like to say thanks for the great cuttings you sent me from eBay 2 weeks ago. I recommend for anyone looking for cold hardy tested trees! Chad

So did the cat break the tree or the wife?

the ice storm the wife put it in killed it. it was covered with ice.

Chad glad the cuttings came through for you with no problems, I find the sphagnum moss helps reduce mold as long as its not to wet.
keep me posted on your progress with rooting. I still got to get my winter grow room ready for my late fall and winter propagation.

Seen a 3-4 foot meyer lemon on ebay waiting to hear back from the seller. but figured I have a RdB that about 3 foot tall potted I could trade. thought about listing it on ebay but haven't decided yet

My little tree is pretty small but it really gets loaded down.  I have to give lemons away to my neighbors, friends and co-workers.  I do freeze some occasionally but I don't do it much.  I also pickle lemons as well as brine them.  I believe I have bought some trees from Four winds but it's been a while.  I don't find citrus at walmart out here. My favorite are meyer lemons but looking to buy a key lime.

this will be my first time dealing with fastgrowingtrees.com. it just seemed to good a deal to pass up. 4-5 foot tree with one year replacement plan. should get a crop very soon I would expect. and yes I did miss having citrus. love cooking with it . and from a medical stand point lemon juice sends calming sensation like endorphins through the brain that gets interpreted as pleasure, much like the same as smoking. so if you smoke and get the craving suck on a lemon it might help you quit smoking. another nice medical fact I suffer from chronic kidney stones, juice from lemons and limes help flush the kidneys .

Dave: I have always had a lemon tree growing in my yard.  At every house we have moved to I've planted one.  The leaves are great for making lemon tea.  It is absolutely delicious.  The same thing with orange leaves. Many great properties to lemon just as there are so many for figs.  Yes, everything from gull stones to skin freshener to tea.  Lemon in a glass of water will balance your body ph level and keep away illnesses.  Amazing!  I love cooking with lemon always.  I add lemon & olive oil to my romaine lettuce halves, sprinkle a little salt and it makes for an excellent addition to any steak or chicken dish.   I do the same with my grilled veggies and also to my fish dishes.  love lemon! Glad you bought your lemon tree!
