I have been looking for potentially cold hardy and early figs to try here in CO and came across Colorado Blanco in last years cutting list from Encanto. There is no listing on the varieties page for it and google hasn't turned up anything either.
Anyone know anything about this one? Is it from CO or is the name just a coincidence?

I don't know about that variety, but just wanted to say welcome to a fellow Coloradan.

Hey Calvin, thanks! I have been pleasantly surprised to find there are a few of us here. I'd love to hear about how and what others are growing in CO sometime.

They are listed as CB-1 through CB-16. They are seedlings, none of which has fruited, yet, that grew sup at the base of by Colorado Blanco Banana tree, hence their temporary designations. Some do have interesting leaves.

Too cool. Up until about November I was starting to wonder if I was the only moron in Colorado trying to seriously grow figs.

Kyle from your registration date it looks like you have been at this for some time. It would be neat to hear experiences from you and Andy some time.

It's starting to look like we could start a CFGA.(Colorado Fig Growers Association)Unofficially.

Thanks Jon! I should have guessed they were your seedlings. CB-9 has especially interesting leaves.

I second Calvin's request, it would be great to here what others are growing here. Maybe we could even have a fig tasting at some point.
