The first picture was taken about a week ago.  I kept them in the tote since I hadn't transplanted yet - oops!!

All I can say is this is the worst of what we had from the storm a few nights ago.  Poor figgies.  Hopefully they will dry out a bit and survive.   I forgot I had a tomato plant in the car for about a week!!  Talk about dry - put it in the kitchen sink for a while and planted it a few days later!

Navid, I totally forgot I bought the tomatoes when I got home about 30 minutes after the purchase!  I guess I am having pre-senior moments LOL!

Pete, I saw them after I had taken the puppy out for her morning "business", spent some time inside, then went out again while on the phone with Mom 15 minutes before having to leave for work - YIKES!!!  I had pulled a few out then thought of getting a picture - I wasn't going to put the rest back in for the sake of the picture - poor figgies :(

Hi Viv, they seem to be OK!  I had great plans for this weekend working in the garden and working on the figs.  Didn't happen.  Glenn was in the hospital for a few days - collapsed in the bathroom at 4:30am or so on Sunday.    I finally called for an ambulance at 5:15 - they were going to leave him home and told me to take him to his primary so to be admitted!  Well it was the third call in 2 1/2 months - I guess they were over it, been there done that too many times.  Turned out to be pneumonia - again. The first time was the night before we got the puppy.  So between him with his reluctance to take care of himself and getting the puppy, it's been a bit of an emotional roller coaster.

This too shall pass.

I have cuttings I haven't checked on in ............ too long.

I'll get back to "normal"  soon, take care of the figs and take care of the garden.  Oh yeah, and take care of myself!!

Sorry about Glenn.  The figs look fine.  They wont get any worse after you rescue them.

Jo-Ann,

Well, bless your heart and Glenn's too.  I'm so sorry to hear about his bouts with pneumonia like that.  He's on my prayer list and so are you.  It's so stressful to have your spouse getting ill like that.  I still get a bit shaky when I think of the trips to the ER with Mike when he had the abd. abscess cooking away inside him.  Not fun.

May God bless you both with a respite from stress and illness and give you peace and pleasure in your plants.

Viv

PS, Forgot to tell you I'm glad the cuttings seem to be doing all right.  ;)

PPS, How is your puppy doing?  Hope you post pictures when things calm down some.
