First off this is a great forum. I planted my first fig tree this past spring which is a lsu purple, I also ordered a black mission tree which arrived last week. I'm trying to post the pics of the leaves of the black mission but its telling me file is to big. I just want to know if that is what the leaves are supposed to look like. Ok, it seemed to work, I have no fruit yet to show cause like I said it just arrived last week, the tree was stuck in transit for over a week and I was surprised that it was as healthy as it was. I grew up with fig trees around me but most if the old timers around here had Celeste fig trees, so I'm trying to teach my self about the many different varieties. __________________ Ryan Zone 9a SeLa, wish list:

Ryan I don't think it is a Black Mission, Looks like a Brunswick/Magnolia. Still a good fig, can be prone to splitting in high humidity/wet seasons. Ryan You have two good nurseries in the Lafayette area, J Robin and Durio. That's good to know, I will have to look them up, I bought a few other fruit trees from the nearest nursery and a few out of those seem to be getting sick or something.
