ciao,, some members may have got these cuttings from me, Vesuviana Bianca and Tricase porto, I wanted to tell of the FMV that seems to be previlant on these. Tricase Porto, is my un named variety from the town of Tricase porto,,I gave that name where it was collected, my cousin sent me these cuttings of TP from her 2nd villa in Lecce, it is the most stubborn tree! It has FMV, but it will grow out of it if you make it hot location and give much much fertilizer, keep it very healthy and cut off the branches that are fmv exposed. Vesuviana B is one of the very beautiful trees, the leaves are shaped almost perfectly round lobes, when young, they get more sharper with age, but still round when more mature, but this is also a tree you must be careful with the fmv. Take care with these, I always wash hands when snipping and wash all cutting utensils on these as I don't want to infect any other trees,(but still the bugs can transmit the virus as well) you will still get good growth but with FMV you have to work a little harder to get rid of it and make the trees grow healthier. These two have the virus. ciaociao!

I have Vesuviana Bianca, and it is a beautiful tree, as described by Maggie. I see very little, if  any FMV on any of the starts. I even have one gracing my office window as an ornamental.

Ciao Dale! I am happy to hear that and you are correct! Even if you wanted an "ornamental" figs tree and not worried about fruits, VB would be the best, it is like no other I am familiar with. I think of it as being very "feminine" it is soft, more round very beautiful to look at especially when kept smaller tree! glad you enjoy it!

You can go Greenfig to my website, there is pics there, I will update with new photo's soon.  I have no idea if I am only one for to receive cuttings, I received from someone who is member here who received direct from Italy, at that time probably the first time it has been to America. I won't disclose the name of the person, but I am one source but not trying to push it from me in anyway, they will travel around as quite a few have them from me now.

I do not yet have permission from my original source to release his name, I don't like to tell unless the person approves and is okay with me to release info!
