I was wondering as well. The two figs I received from him will fruit next season, strong growers so far. I was always hoping he would share more info on them.

Maybe winter is coming and he is busy with taking pots into the shelter?

Is he from a warm zone?

Vito

I see where gorgi posted on both forums on Thanksgiving, but I don't see where Figs4Life posted anywhere.  Are you saying that gorgi is the same person as Figs4Life?

Or did I misunderstand the OP?  Was Leon asking about 2 separate people, one with the screen name Figs4Life, and a separate person with the real-life name of George?  (I had interpreted Leon's question as being about just 1 person--a person with the screen name Figs4Life whose real-life name is George.)

I'd like George to return, I'm curious about some of his fig finds, and would like to learn more. I'm growing a Hadoulis F. White that he said was delicious. I'm confused about some of the pics he has posted, as it seems he has posted photos of a Sicilian fig and the Greek Hadoulis fig that seem to be the same fig.

Mike, this is why I'm trying to contact him as well. He was kind to share some varieties with me but I also need some clarification.
Vito- no problem :)

Leon, here is what I learned from George when I received the cuttings and a bit on my own experience. Hopefully it is helpful in his absence. I'd like to hear what others know too.

The one I got as Hadoulis F. White has mostly three lobed leaves and has been a strong grower. It should fruit next summer. It was killed to the ground last winter in Queens, but had been completely hardy for years before that. He didn't remember where this one came from, other than it was from Greece. These are some of George's pictures of it:
[IMG_20130903_031735_121_zps87496536]  [IMG_20130904_231216_zpsa748d760]  [IMG_20140205_123505_034_zpsa7547fc0]

The one I received as Hadoulis F. Kos, that he later renamed Hadoulis F. Gold on the forum has more finger like leaves. It was a good grower, but not as vigorous as HF White. This one came from Kos Island, Greece. Again some of Georges pics:

Some of these pictures are used in more than one post saying they are one fig or the other. I'm going on what I was told when we traded and not all the places they show up on the forum. It is a bit confusing, and I hope George can shed some more light on exactly which is which. On the other hand, hopefully we will work it out next season ;)

Hi Andy,
You have a PM but here is a thread that also shows photos of George's figs:
