Welcome to the forum. Enjoy the posts.
Advice!
Be good to your fig plants; keep them in sunny spot, keep the soil moist, fertilizer periodically, prune branches as required and root prune when necessary etc
I promise to start doing the same when I have time...

Hi all,

Just getting started in the fig game and was wondering what are some good sources for cuttings online? I live in zone 8b(near Seattle Washington). From the small amount of research I have done it seems they are fairly easy to propagate from cuttings and would be much cheaper then buying a bunch of fig plants lol. I was also thinking it would be a good idea to find some fig trees locally and try to get some cuttings that way as well. Does it matter what time of the year the figs are propagated? I think if I got some started soon I would keep them indoors until next spring perhaps. Thanks in advance!

Bill there's a number of cuttings on ebay currently since you live in the us I suggest buying only from us sellers to avoid any issues.

haqimi: Malaysia has mostly tropical climate, hot in the summer. It is seem to me that all of your fig trees do not go dormant and they grow all year round. So, please let me know about growing fig trees there. Your fig trees are healthy to me, thanks for sharing.

Best,
Tam

Welcome to the forum, and thank you for sharing your photo's with us...as far as advice, once you get your fig trees established, just tend to the basics, eg. water, sun, some fertilizer, occasional pruning, and you should be good to go...I have come to the conclusion after working with fig trees for 7 years that you have to be trying "really hard" if you're going kill a fig tree...they just seem to thrive on the most minimal of care...good luck with your new hobby.
