Surprisingly the Black Madeira was the most productive variety this year. Even out doing the Negronne which I think suffered root damage during the winter and was slow to wake up this spring. The extra heat from being in the lean to probably helped. Thanks Tom for taking time to make the video. You Madeira figs have pretty skin color. Was it your favorite in flavor this season ?

Definitely the best although a nice dehydrated Ischia Black on the tree is extremely rich,sweet and fig like too. I haven't decided if the Black Madeira dehydrate well or are at their best fresh. __________________ Tom Massachusetts Zone 6b
