I received a "Granato fig from Italy" as a bonus to a fig purchase. I cannot find any info on it and am thinking it's an unknown. Has anyone ever heard of it or is it possibly misspelled? Thanks!

Cutting was from the States, (Italian variety)

It's listed here http://www.ficuscarica.com/carica.html as a dark fig/red interior. Looks delicious :)

I've bookmarked several online "catalogs" to help with IDing figs. They definitely come in handy at times :)
