Hello everyone, I just took the fist set of cuttings from my two LSU Hollier fig trees. The trees are less than a year old and already grew to over 6'! These trees were grown from cuttings donated by a generous F4F member, and while I took care of the member that donated the cuttings, I wanted to find a way to give back to F4F. So, I've just listed two auctions for four cuttings each on eBay. I've committed to donate 50% of the winning bid from each auction to the F4F Foundation and have notified Jon of this pledge. So, if you're interested in LSU Hollier Cuttings and want to help the F4F Foundation at the same time, check out the two auctions here:Set #1 Set #2 The descriptions pretty much say it all, but feel free to post any questions here.

This was my favorite "different" tasting fig from last year. Meaning = not the same figgy taste.http://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/hollier-6509611

Since I have very limited space, when I first started collecting figs, I tried to do some research into which varieties were the "best tasting". The Hollier consistently came up at the top of the list for a "sweet fig" and I had mentioned that I was looking for a Hollier in my very first post here on F4F:http://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/hello-many-thanks-6208323 Within an hour of that first post, a very generous member sent me some cuttings. The cuttings that are being auctioned are from the tree that grew as a result of those original cuttings, which is just one reason I thought it appropriate to donate back to the F4F Foundation. There's still time left to bid and the price on both sets is still under $12!
