About 2+ years ago, I bought several nice size fig trees from Lowes, Walmart, Tractor Supply, Etc... and I think none are true to name, but luckily they taste good. Help me name this one, I bought it as a Green Ischia, green??? Anyways, I think they all came from the same clone lab and I feel when they run out of one label they switch to another, with the same plants of course.

I just left the local Lowe's they received Brown Turkey and Celeste, about 5 ft tall and most of them with figs.  The Brown Turkey trees are probably English Brown Turkey, from the looks of the figs, and are really nice.  A good buy at $!9.95.

Good buy Danny, I paid about $7-8 two years ago and they were well branched about 1.5-2.0 feet.

I think you are right Rafael, BT is a high possibility. Thanks.

I was thinking LSU Purple because I have one of them from the same box store, leaf is similar but it has not set fruit(yet). I just thought maybe the LSU was mislabeled also, but maybe not. Thanks Kyle, you may be on to something.

Taste pretty good Phil, not that I am an expert but my taste buds tell me I want more. I did not show the cracking but was a factor telling me it was close to being at its peak. First year fruit.

Thanks Danny, I never realized those factors, thanks.

I bought an LSU Purple with a Sunshine Growers label from Walmart a couple months ago.The fruit and leaves on mine look like yours. The ants had started eating on this fig,but it had a great taste...similar to a very ripe Fuyu persimmon.
