Great idea, and nice setup. Probably easier than an individual SIPs as well. One question, what do you use to control mosquito larvae? Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the comments.
Don, I place a mosquito dunk in each gutter.
This is not my invention. If you search YouTube , you will find a lot of instructional videos about the rain gutter grow system

pawpaw you are a Master. I have been hunting for a Spanish black (where my dad was from) for a while, but nobody could come up with this. I will pay for shipping for some cuttings.

Bill, Thanks for starting this topic and sharing the Video. I'm doing something similar this spring with my SIPs, but connecting my individual SIP reservoirs (5 gallon buckets) to a single common Float Level Control bucket with 1/2" tubing, 1/2" fittings and grommets.

Thanks for sharing this Bill. So the plants are always moist? What soil mix do you use? Do you think they are growing faster with water on demand?

Looks good bill, plants look real healthy. The cuttings you sent me have about a foot of new growth on them already! Thanks again!

Mike, lots of people use self watering pots with a reservoir at the bottom. this is just a easier way to do that. the top of the soil is on hthe dry side, deep in the pot is evenly moist. It seems a little too moist with smaller pots, but works great with larger trees. Chad thanks for the feedback. Rooting new varieties is fun, but eating is better. I am amazed I am already getting some main crop harvest

The combination of rain gutter sub irrigation and the greenhouse is succeeding well. These plants were all rooted last year. I am getting excellent growth and a nice harvest, which started with RdB and Lyndhurst White main crop a couple weeks ago. First photo is an overview. Second is Stella. 3rd Kathleen Black. 4th is Genovese Nero. 5 th JH adriatic. 6th malta black. As they are protected from rain, they can get perfectly ripe and dry a little on the tree. The Fully ripe JH adriatic and Malta black were amazing.
