Every so often I see this guy running in shorts and bare-chested with earbuds. I’ve seen him for years. He runs in the dead of winter (maybe not last winter) in shorts and bare-chested. Over the years I’ve seen him many times in many places so I more or less have his route figured out. I’ve seen him in Passaic, come through Rutherford and East Rutherford. He must be running to work cause I’ve seen him run into the Meadowlands Sports Complex.

Today I was in the backyard watering and he passes right by, stops, pulls the earphones out and asks me if my in ground figs died to the ground. I said they did, he said mine too and off he goes.

Saw a medium sized fig tree this afternoon in Astoria at 34th and 28th ave. Looked like it was completely unaffected by winter.

Well Keith, that runner was paying attention to more than realized, I wonder what varieties that he is growing????

I hear he's from Green Bow, Alabama.
I bet one day he'll be pretty tired, and will just wanna go home...

KK, that's pretty neat. You have to wave him down next time, I bet he knows all the good spots.
