Looks like another winner, taste score/description. You have the fig touch. I like the cracking of the skin.

I believe Baskinta Brown is an improved Celeste. The markers are the leaves, size, taste, shape, and earliness. It is figgy, sweet, and damn good like a good Celeste should be. Every fig grower should have a no holds bar good producer of quality figs. Baskinta Brown can be it but not for me because the competition here in 8B is fierce.

My Hardy Chicago is in its third year and looks like it will give big crops. Add that to the outstanding taste last year on such a young tree and I figure HC is a surefire winner in zone 7b. I was amazed at how good they tasted last year and can't wait for some to ripen this year. Some days I look at it morning and evening hoping one of them has suddenly ripened ;-)
