I saw the same for my area...I was hoping it was an error. Hoping it won't be a trend.

This is what is in forecast for Ottawa (-30C/ -22F) on coming Wednesday unless Gore or Dr. Suzuki intervene. Time to turn the heater on in the garage to maintain at 32F+. First dip to -30C of the winter. We had -19C a couple of time. Wed 7 Jan Hi -19°C (-2.2F)
Low -30°C (-22F)

I looked at the forecast again and tonight -16C (3.2F) is going to be followed by a balmy 12C (53F) on Sunday Jan 4 before the onset of deep freeze starting on Monday (including -30C on Wednesday).

O Canada!
Terre de nos aïeux,
Ton front est ceint de fleurons glorieux!
Car ton bras sait porter l'épée,
Il sait porter la croix!
Ton histoire est une épopée
Des plus brillants exploits.
Et ta valeur, de foi trempée,
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.

Yes, cold and freezing but:O Canada! Our home and native land! True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise, The True North strong and free!
From far and wide, O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free! O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. No rockets bursting in the air But the flag is still there

Quebec is pretty awesome. We have taken vacations up there in October so we can see the leaves turning all thru Vermont and Quebec. We stayed in old part Quebec City this year and that was a lot of fun. We visited Jean Talon market in Montreal a couple years ago. The Underground City that connects many of the downtown building is pretty awesome too. You can visit many places and never have to go out in the cold.

Rich, Do you think these lows might kill any cuttings shipped into the area? Thanks, Paul
