What exactly is a "Hardy Everbearing Fig"?

Hi, I have only been figging for a couple of years so I am not a pro. I have two "Hardy Everbearing Figs" from Gurney's and when I've tried to look up info about them, I can't find information that exactly matches what a "Hardy Everbearing Fig" is. My best guess is that "Hardy Everbearing" is either a Texas Everbearing or a Hardy Chicago. Please correct me if I am wrong. I appreciate any advice you can offer. Christy, What you have is a Brown Turkey.The page describes it as the botanical name Botanical Name: Ficus carica 'Brown Turkey' __________________ Coop Northern NJ Zone 7a

Christy, Hardy and Everbearing are adjectives, not actual names, but the two cultivars that you mention have those words as part of their names. Good Luck.

Hii, Welcome Zippy. Do you have photos of the leaves and ripe fruits ? IMO, the photo in their website is not from a standard BT . How old are the trees ? Are they truly everbearing ? My BT is not everbearing - she gave the brebas and now she has the main-crop in waiting modus . Of course one could tell that everbearing doesn't mean everripening ... __________________ ------------------------ Climate from -25°C to + 35°C Only cold hardy figtrees can make it here

I have an "Illinois Everbearing Mulberry". In that case, "Everbearing" means "mid-June through August". __________________ Paul the Fig Tree Destroyer in Fallbrook, CA (Zone 10A )

jdsfrance, I've only had the figs since the beginning of this season. When they arrives they were little twigs, but now stand at around 30" tall. It has not yet fruited but I am guessing that next season it will try. I'll update with a pic of fruits then! :) __________________ Lansing, MI - 5b,6a Figgy wiggies, anyone?
