Strong work!  I hope you have some of each on their own roots to compare to.  It would be interesting to see the results.

Cuttings update . I must say that if it wasn't for soiless potting mix, I would've ended up with lots of dead cuttings. With a bottom heat, T5 lights (120cm length, 4 tube preferred 216 watts) 16 hours on, soil less mix ( coco / perlite ) , dyna gro 7-9-5 for two weeks followed by dyna grow foliage pro at each watering ( 1ml per litre). I also add dyna grow pro-tech silicon at each watering. Thanks to all the information on this forum and facebook pages. Also please see pictures of my cuttings from my cloner , all mixed up sorry but about 95% success. however it's a pain when it comes to changing water .

I do not have col de dame Rimada and de la ROCCA to compare as they both rotted. Maybe someone can chime in to compare later in the season.
Thanks

Looking good Vinny, it goes to show that there's more than one way to skin cat when it comes to rooting figs. How long did it take the grafts to get to this point with such nice leaf growth?

Ben,

I think its about 5-6 weeks old. Apart from the cdd Rimada everything else has grown really well. If I ever graft next season I'll hold off till March ( for northerners that is), so that I can move it out at this point . I'm struggling to find a light supply for them lol.

Vinny, did you do the graft and then set up the BT cuttings/rootstock to root in the potting mix?  Or did you allow the BT cuttings to become well rooted first and then do the grafts?  It would be really nice to be able to set up the grafts using unrooted cuttings then root them in conjuction with the grafts healing but I don't know if that's a very successful approach because it would take quite some time for the sap to start flowing in the rootstock.  Until that happened the graft probably wouldn't heal.

Igor,
Thanks, will do mate .

Steve,
I grafted them on a BT tree with roots. I bought the BT tree from a garden centre for like $3 and did cleft graft. What you are saying is also possible as I have seen Thai people doing it on Facebook pages, I'll try to find a picture . However I really think the idea behind grafting is that you graft a dormant scion onto a dormant rootstock just before they wake up in spring . In my case I left the rootstock indoors to activate the sap flow. After I grafted them I left them under T5's and now they have grown out and I'm struggling . I highly reccomend grafting for great success especially for hard to root varieties . No humidity, no uppotting, no need to worry about over watering . I will keep you guys updated. I did bareroot the BT and used a soilless mix coco/perlite to avoid gnats and i never saw any gnats.

Thanks

Yes I do, they all are  rooted but no foliage yet. They are also on the thinner side so not much energy in them. CDD Ciutat and CDD Bordissotenca have not rooted yet. Probably been almost 3 months and im trying different tricks. Frustrating to say the least.

Brian I had the same problem with Bordissotenca. It has been very slow to root, but still alive. I just up potted it and plan to move it to the greenhouse to see how it does in there.

Interesting I had the same problem with CDD Bordisssotenca too, lots of roots but no leaf or bud . I guess I'll have to wait till next season to buy from pons. Some of the other cuttings were like fossil lol

The only cutting I found tougher than CDD Bordissotenca was Partijal Rimada.  Neither of the two cuttings wants to root at all!

Thanks for the tip on the Dyna gro fertilizer Vinny, my plants thank you for it. I was waiting too long to fertilize the new cuttings, My cuttings prior to the weekly feedings were real yellow and showed signs of lack of nutrients. They are looking good now!

In my case they got roots but no leaves :d.. I think ill put them out as I can see some strong roots. These Cuttings might not have enough energy to push leaves out (FOSSIL) lol.
