Thanks for the head up that J.H adriatic variety is not half worth the two varieties I'm looking to trade.  Instead of asking the forum member for free I thought of giving something in return.  Hopefully some member is generous enough to part one cutting of Maltese beauty or Col de dame noire.

You never know. There might be someone who has a MB or CdDG with lots of cuttings to spare, but needs JH. Not everyone here is in it for profit (not that there is anything wrong with profit).

It might help to know where you live. Many won't ship to CA, for instance.

Hi fig4love, welcome to the forum, enjoyed your posting. Usually members will be more giving if you post an introduction and your location. Most of us have started out with the more available cuttings and several of our members have been generously gifting them weekly, really nice varieties from great members. Just a thought. You will soon do well as members get to know you. Good luck and good growing.

Since the topic is Adriatic, what is the difference in JH Adriatic and just plain Adriatic?

Why do you want these two varieties? What zone are you in?

In about 2 months time (i.e. @ beginning of February)  Jon of Fig4Fun will publish a list of available cuttings on this Forum. You can order as many varieties as you wish then.
Good luck for the current search.

Hello,

I'm a newbie from Zone 9 N. Cal.  I've learned so much through reading post on this forum.  First to just learn more about brown turkey and black mission but then I got interest in rooting process.  I tried rooting my brown turkey using RichinNJ method and so far so good.

And of course I get to learn more about different varieties as member post info. & picture and it got me even more interest.  I've invest sort of lot of money purchase some varieties over the ebay from member on this forum.  Now they're all in rooting process.  Trying to get early start hopefully some would fruit by fall of next year.

@Fig4L  I'm looking forward to Feb. at Jon's list cutting.

From what I've read, JH thought he had an Adriatic, but it may be something better (Herman2 has guessed White Madeira).

Yes, he's a longtime member, but he doesn't post much.  Here's a good thread on this topic (JH aka Joe Hood is mountainman0826, see post #35): http://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/difference-bt-adriatic-jh-and-adriatic-5880337?&trail=50

Don't forget Adriatic JH is quite cold hardy (survived past winter in zone 6) and can fruit from ground kill.
