Going to the lsu fig sale tomorrow. Its in hammond louisiana. Hoping to get the jack lily. I am going to take pictures of everything there. They suppose to have super plants there that they bred. Not sure what that is though. Jack lilly is a fig that they created at the center. Lucky U Richard. The Jack Lily is an awesome tasting honey fig variant. Let us know what variants are available. I might go next year. I have faith on LSU variants.

On the road right now should be there before they open. I found out what there " super plamts" are VEGETABLESplants AND FRUIT TREES THAT PRODUCE HEAVY CROP OF DISEASE RESISTANCE PLANTS. I went to a "drought friendly plant sale...native stuff only," and was shocked at the turnout. We had to park in way the &%$@!!! in East Egypt and walk forever! Getting there early is good! THe BR sale wasn't that impressive. Saw one booth with figs, none that aren't common around here, except a few tiger. Reminded me more of a Craft Sale than a plant sale. My boys enjoyed the chili cookoff though!
