What a pleasant surprise I had today, the wife ordered me a box of Fig Pastries from Termini Bros Bakery in Philly , they are delicious! and they only took one day to get to Connecticut apparently they have other fig pastries and cookies

They are excellent John they are made with figs, almonds, and marsala wine from what I understand they are made fresh daily

This morning my wife woke up before me and watched one of her morning shows after doing so she came to wake me and tell me about one of the shows she was watching about new statistics that 53% of the women break up with there boyfriend/husband because of a lack of receiving a valentine's day  gift and she went on to tell me how silly that was well as you know she might of used the word silly but really meant if I don't get a Valentine's day gift you may be one of the 53% , so to answer your question there will be lots of chocolates and roses

Nice, I'm considering ordering some for myself since I don't believe my wife ordered me any!

  • 4 Handmade Fig Bars, which are made using tender cookie dough that encases a mixture of freshly ground figs, Marsala wine, hazelnuts and semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • We hand grind fresh figs to use as the base for the fig bar filling.
  • Fresh ground figs are mixed with chocolate chips, whole filberts, and an assortment of secret ingredients.These are a traditional Sicilian dessert most often served at Christmas or at weddings, but we love to eat them ALL the time!

EDIT: Mine are ordered!  I'll share with my Valentine! :)

My recipe calls for brandy. Toast the hazel nuts slightly to enhance their flavor. Can also use toasted walnuts and almonds.

These are good and the delay caused by shipping will let the flavors mature, (something that doesn't happen around here) so they will taste even better.
