So last week I was walking in the woods around work and saw what I thought were Pawpaws. Today I went back. As I made my way through clump after clump I was thinking. No way can all these trees be Pawpaws. There were so many! Each little grove contains 30-70 trees and they were everywhere. Finally the proof I need.
pawpaw1.jpg  So big can this really be a PawPaw?
Pawpaw2.jpg  In one of the clumps but where are the Pawpaws?
Pawpaw3.jpg  Yep.  That looks like a Pawpaw.
Pawpaw4.jpg  Oh my gosh! 5 on one branch!

Well I don't yet know what fruit will be like as it is a long way from ripe.  I suspect the groves are different since Paws Paws are normally planted with 2 varieties.  Next spring I will be ready to help them along.  If nothing else the seeds may be useful as root stock.
